| This bridge was called eKAKEHEf by Yamagusuku village residents. Its means water bridge for agricultural water. But it is called eTen-bashi in general on Kume and it means sky bridge. It was a famous landmark on Kume. Two pictures provided by Mr. Isamu Sakuda my friend. Yamagusuku #1 was taken before 1986 from the opposite side. It was broken by a crane car that was running with its arm standing in 1987 (picture #2). Picture #3 I took in Jun. 2003. Photo by Mr. Isamu Sakuda - provided by 'Tak' - thanks to both! | Order |
